What is Accounting Accidentally?
Accounting and finance can be pretty dull. This publication explains accounting and finance topics- without putting you to sleep.
How?
A couple of ways. First, I discuss both concept and examples that explain concepts. When I write about earnings per share, I provide concrete examples so you come away understanding the concepts.
I also provide video links to my YouTube channel. If you’re more of a visual learner, you’ll finds video links that explain concepts in many of my posts.
OK, but is does the guy understand the subject?
Fair question. Let me (try) to put your mind at ease by explaining my background. Call this the Credibility Section…
I’m a four-time Dummies author, blogger, and provide video content on accounting and finance. I am the author of Cost Accounting for Dummies, Accounting All-In-One for Dummies, The CPA Exam for Dummies, and 1,001 Accounting Questions for Dummies. As a former CPA, Auditor, Tax Preparer and College Professor, my goal is to bring a wealth of business experience to educating my audience.
I also write humor.
Why I write humor/ short stories
On the night before Thanksgiving 2021, I had emergency surgery and spent a week in the hospital. You can read How I Lost 15 Pounds Over Thanksgiving to get the whole story.
A near-death (well, maybe a few blocks away from death) experience caused me to reassess life. I decided to start writing humor- something I’ve wanted to do for years. You’ll find posts such as Why I Refused to Pay For Clown College, and other observational humor. Let’s face it: life is too frigg’in short not to laugh.
